Me-Made-May 2018 self-sewn clothing

I, Mary of The Daily Sew and @thedailysew sign up as a participant of Me-Made-May ’18.

I endeavor to make a concerted effort to wear my me-mades more often and to figure out why I don’t wear them more. Is it the fit? the color? the style?

I will be more attentive to what is working and what is not before starting more sewing projects or buying more patterns this May 2018.

And that’s my pledge this year.

I’m done with sewing clothes that don’t work for me. And buying patterns when I own more unused patterns than used patterns.

It’s time for me to, once again, step back, look at the bigger picture, and think about a few things:

  • What do I want to wear?
  • What do I want to sew?
  • What do I have success with?
  • What styles do I think are cute but not right for me? (personality wise, need wise and or body wise)
  • What styles are for me? Do I want to sew these things?
  • Solids or prints?
  • Colors?

I’ll be taking notes this May as I wear my mish-mash of self-made clothes. Join me and hundreds of other sewers in Me-Made-May this year. Your pledge can be whatever you want – sign up here.
