Well their method of one snip across the corner works okay but this is what I learned in my first semester in Fashion Design classes. It&#8217;s that basic. You need to know this and it&#8217;s so simple you will wonder why a pattern company couldn&#8217;t take the space for two extra sentences to tell you this tip. Watch the video and you will see what I mean.<\/p>\n<p>The second tip is not so exciting but it is as important. Not pressing open your seams as you construct your garment will make it look &#8220;home made&#8221; and that&#8217;s not a good thing. You must iron as you sew. No avoiding it. But how do you iron collar seams or sleeve seams or other hard to reach areas? Well, it&#8217;s not that hard with my second simple trick and you can do it with something you already have.
